Pangolins are the most illegally traded species in the world and there are several confiscation cases of pangolins in Nepal also. Hariyo Ban Program has been continuously supporting the communities. 15 Community forests were selected based on the presence of pangolins seen in the camera traps and indirect sign recorded during the survey conducted in year II.

The Pangolin conservation was initiated to aware the communities and engage them in protection of the species outside the protected areas.
